Siko again proved herself as a Master Frog Hunter. She brought this little guy in the other day for me as a present. Apparently this species of frog must excrete a nasty tasting slime as a defense mechanism. Unfortunately for him, Siko is a professional and is not easily deterred. It wasn't until AFTER she relinquished her catch to me that she let on just how awful the slime tasted (acting as if she just bit into a sour lemon). This guy was quite a jumper at first, but seemed to settle down once Siko was no longer in sight, allowing for a little more time to capture his portrait. Again, no frog was harmed during this episode and he was released into the backyard fully intact.
